Dear Caitlind,

I am pleased to announce that we have received your guarantee from Japan for the year program, next winter 2009.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Please read about your host country, start to learn some words in the native language and prepare yourself to talk about Canada.

At this moment, please proceed with your passport, if it’s not already done. If you have a passport, don’t forget to send me a photocopy of the first page (the one with the picture) if you already did it, don’t do it again.

You still have to participate at a pre-departure orientation, we will contact you to give you all details about it.

Once again, congratulations!

Congratulations. I am happy that your dream is about to come true. When I was a child, I used to draw comic books (I still have them) on famous American Superheroes and characters from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Although, I draw casually, I have to say that you have a talent with your manga drawings.

In the future, you may want to get a graphics tablet to digitize your manga drawings. The cheapest device is about $100 before taxes. Of course, I will leave that decision to you.

During the Fall, I got paid to do a comission piece for an American Masters Graduate from Fort Worth, Texas. The blogger is fan of the Comic Book industry.

Since you are a accomplished cartoonist, you may want to consider starting a web comic.

Good luck and I hope you get to go to Japan.
